Our Services
At Certified Hand Therapy Services, our therapists provide a variety of skilled treatments to help patients recover and achieve their goals. We treat pre- and post-surgical conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Our therapists also specialize in treatment specifically for rock climbers and musicians. Although a majority of our patients come to us via physician referral, patients are able to make an appointment for an evaluation without an order from their doctor. We are a preferred provider for most of the major insurance carriers and we also accept cash pay patients. Soft Tissue Mobilization
An essential part of the rehabilitation process involves use of manual mobilization of soft tissues by our therapists to promote circulation and reduce swelling.
Exercises
Our therapists work with each patient to create an individualized exercise program that can be performed in and out of the clinic to improve overall motion and strength of the hand/arm.
Ultrasound
A non-invasive treatment that uses sound waves to treat pain, muscle spasms, and other musculoskeletal issues
Range of Motion
Our therapists stretch the various joints of the hand and arm to help improve the range of motion so that patients can achieve motion needed for daily activities.
Dry Needling
Our clinic owner, Mitzi, is trained in the application of dry needling, which is used to find the motor point of a muscle and cause relaxation of painful trigger points.
Cold Laser Treatment
A non-invasive treatment that uses near-infrared light to stimulate healing, reduce pain and inflammation, and restore function.
We also create custom splints
Our team of therapists are skilled in the fabrication of functional splints. These splints can be created based on specific recommendations by a doctor or for use during a specific recreational activity such as bike riding, skiing, playing an instrument, or using a kitchen knife.
