Frequently Asked Questions.
About Your Visit
-
Your first visit will begin with a one-on-one evaluation with a licensed therapist. During this appointment, your therapist will review your medical history, discuss your current symptoms and goals, and perform a thorough assessment of your movement, strength, and function.
Based on this evaluation, your therapist will create an individualized plan of care tailored to your specific needs. You may also begin treatment during your first visit, which can include hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercises, and education to help you better understand your condition and recovery process.
Your therapist will explain what future therapy sessions may look like and introduce the members of your care team who will support you throughout your treatment. We encourage you to ask questions at any point so you feel informed and comfortable moving forward.
-
Therapy sessions are typically scheduled for approximately 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your individualized plan of care and treatment needs. Your therapist will discuss the recommended session length with you and adjust as needed throughout your course of therapy.
-
Your care is delivered by a collaborative team. Your initial evaluation is completed by a licensed therapist, and ongoing visits may be provided by a therapist or a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA), depending on your individualized plan of care.
Your evaluating therapist remains involved throughout your treatment, communicates regularly with the care team, and adjusts your plan as needed based on your progress. All clinicians work collaboratively and follow the same plan of care to ensure consistent, high-quality treatment while minimizing scheduling delays.
